Step 1: Wearing Apple Watch
Please refer to Apple Watch User Guide on how to properly wear and use the Apple Watch located at https://support.apple.com/guide/watch/welcome/watchos.
Proper Fitting of Apple Watch for Best Use with NeuroRPM
For NeuroRPM-Rx to operate effectively, you must properly wear the Apple Watch. For the best experience with Apple Watch and NeuroRPM, Apple provides wrist fitting recommendations to provide proper skin contact with the back of your Apple Watch. While NeuroRPM-Rx does not rely on skin contact to quantify symptoms, a properly fitting watch will improve data collection from motion sensors. The wrist you wear your watch on will be directed by your physician. When on the wrist, Apple Watch should not be loose-fitting. Apple recommends a snug but comfortable fit, as illustrated below.

Additional information on the use, care, and maintenance of Apple Watch is available from Apple’s website (support.apple.com) and user instructions provided with the Apple Watch.
Step 2: Using NeuroRPM
Once your Apple Watch is properly placed on your wrist, NeuroRPM-Rx begins collecting your motion information passively, without any special movement or actions from you. You simply can go about your regular activities and daily routine. NeuroRPM-Rx is designed to have minimal user intervention.
Collecting Motion Data
Once NeuroRPM-Rx is collecting motion data, it will make a symptom classification for bradykinesia, tremor, and dyskinesia every 15 minutes. A minimum of 9 minutes of motion data in a 15-minute period is required for NeuroRPM-Rx to make a symptom classification.
You should wear your Apple Watch with NeuroRPM-Rx as much as possible during waking hours. The purpose of NeuroRPM-Rx is to quantify your symptoms every day and build a long term view of your movements to help you and your care provider better understand changes in your condition. We recommend that you use NeuroRPM-Rx at least 4 hours per day while you are awake and active.
